At the edge of Percy Warner Park, the Warner Parks Nature Center is where Nashville kids get muddy on purpose: a nature library, a teaching garden, an organic garden buzzing with bees, and staff naturalists who turn every walk into a treasure hunt.
Free programs run all year — creek explorations, owl prowls, wildflower walks and nature crafts — across the Warner Parks’ 3,100 acres of forest, fields and the famous Harpeth Hills trails.
It’s the city’s outdoor classroom, and tuition is a pair of boots that can get wet: for generations of Nashville families, this is where nature-love begins.
