Schubert Club Music Museum: A World of Instruments in Landmark Center

Inside St. Paul’s storybook Landmark Center, the Schubert Club Music Museum holds a simple, radical belief: instruments are for playing. Its Keyboard Studio and global instrument galleries invite visitors to actually touch and sound instruments from around the world — gamelan gongs, African drums, historical keyboards — not just admire them behind glass.

The museum’s treasures include original letters from Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms, and instruments from the Schubert Club’s 140+ years of bringing great music to Minnesota (it has presented artists from Rachmaninoff to Yo-Yo Ma). Free admission makes it a downtown St. Paul joy for families and music nerds alike.

Come for a concert series, stay to play a Javanese metallophone. Only in St. Paul — and only at the Schubert Club.
