Minneapolis families have a giant-screen treat waiting across the river in St. Paul. At the Science Museum of Minnesota, the William L. McKnight-3M Omnitheater is showing Pandas, the beloved giant-screen film that follows curious young panda cubs as they prepare for a daring journey into the wild for the first time.
The film plays on the museum’s huge domed screen, wrapping viewers in bamboo forests and mountain scenery while the cubs tumble, climb and learn the skills they will need in nature. It is the kind of movie that keeps little kids wide-eyed and gives parents plenty to talk about on the ride home.
Best of all, a general admission ticket to the museum includes an Omnitheater movie, so families can pair the film with a day of hands-on science, dinosaurs and river views. Want a double feature? Additional Omnitheater movies can be added for $9.95 by phone. The current lineup also includes Journey to Space, a look at the road to Mars showing through February 24, 2027.
Pandas is showing through January 31, 2027, at the Science Museum of Minnesota, 120 W. Kellogg Boulevard in St. Paul. Showtimes change by day, so check the museum’s schedule and reserve your movie time when you book your visit.
