Shark Week Returns to the Aquarium of the Pacific, November 7-15

Los Angeles families, get ready to say hello to some fin-tastic neighbors. Shark Week returns to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach from Saturday, November 7 through Sunday, November 15, 2026, turning the aquarium into a weeklong celebration of one of the ocean’s most fascinating animals.

Sharks get a big reputation, but this joyful week is all about wonder. Throughout Shark Week, guests can enjoy shark-themed education stations, keeper chats and feedings scheduled on select days, and a special shark-themed scavenger hunt that sends kids exploring the galleries with new eyes. It is a perfect excuse to slow down in front of the Shark Lagoon, watch these graceful animals glide by, and learn how many different kinds of sharks and rays call the Pacific home.

The Aquarium of the Pacific, at 100 Aquarium Way in Long Beach, is Southern California’s largest aquarium and a favorite family day out, with playful sea otters, penguins, sea jellies and tropical reefs all under one roof. Shark Week activities are included with general admission on the days they are offered, though the aquarium recommends checking its official calendar before you go, since some programs run on select dates and hours can vary.

Whether your little ocean lover wants to spot a horn shark, cheer on a zebra shark or simply press a nose to the glass, Shark Week is a happy, splashy way to spend a November day by the sea.
