Los Angeles families can step into one of the most fascinating seasonal experiences in the city: the Spider Pavilion at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, open now through December 6, 2026, in Exposition Park.
This one-of-a-kind open-air pavilion offers a rare glimpse into the secret life of spiders. Visitors stroll among hundreds of orb weavers and their magnificent webs ā some spun by garden spiders can reach almost ten feet across ā with no glass between them and these talented builders. Inside the Spider Den, enclosed habitats are home to tarantulas, wolf spiders and Huntsman spiders, while Museum Educators share amazing stories, answer every arachnid question and explain the natural pest control spiders provide to our gardens and neighborhoods.
The pavilion is a gentle, curiosity-filled adventure for kids who love nature and for anyone ready to see spiders in a friendlier light. The museum’s professional animal care team looks after the spiders on site every day of the year, and a 2026 Spider Pavilion Guide is available in English and Spanish to help families make the most of the visit.
The Spider Pavilion is located at the Natural History Museum, 900 Exposition Boulevard, open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the pavilion is $10 in addition to general museum admission, and it is free for museum members. Advance online tickets are recommended.
