Las Vegas families with a budding builder at home have a perfect Saturday plan. On Saturday, October 24, the Las Vegas Natural History Museum hosts Engineering Explorers, a hands-on morning where young children step into the shoes of real engineers.
Young guests will explore the engineering design process the way professionals do ā asking questions, imagining solutions, planning, building, testing and improving ā while tackling two design challenges. The session runs from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and is designed for learners up to 8 years old, making it an ideal first STEM adventure for preschoolers and early elementary students.
The program is part of the museum’s weekly Early Explorers series, held every Saturday, and is included with museum admission or membership ā so after the engineering fun, families can keep exploring the museum’s dinosaur galleries, marine life and treasures of ancient Egypt.
Supplies are limited and participation is first come, first served for walk-in guests, so Happy City News recommends arriving a little early. The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is at 900 Las Vegas Blvd. North, in downtown Las Vegas.
