Fall has arrived in Southern Nevada, and the charming towns just beyond the Las Vegas Strip are throwing open their doors for a season full of outdoor fun, festivals and family adventures!
In historic Boulder City, Halloween fever is in full swing. The Nevada State Railroad Museum’s Halloween Express rolls out October 10–25 with a 90-minute family ride, Monster Mash dance party, costume contest and refreshments. Downtown’s Best Dam Wine Walk hosts a Halloween Costume edition on October 10, while the 34-mile River Mountains Loop Trail and Lake Mead’s kayaking tours offer crisp-air adventures all season long.
Just up the road, Moapa Valley invites families to pick pumpkins, wander the corn maze and meet animals at the petting zoo, then celebrate the harvest at the Pomegranate Art Festival on November 6–7.
Over in Laughlin, the fall concert lineup sizzles with Nelly and Lil Jon on October 24 and Bailey Zimmerman on November 14, plus dinner cruises and jet boat tours on the Colorado River. And Mesquite pairs championship golf — including the Nevada Open, November 3–5 — with a family-friendly Community Art Walk on October 10 and Trunk or Treat on Halloween night.
Cooler weather, golden desert light and small-town warmth: the ultimate autumn getaway is just a short drive from Las Vegas!
