Houston is in for a spine-tingling treat this Halloween! The Houston Symphony brings the magic of Tim Burton’s beloved classic to Jones Hall with Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert, live-to-film, on Saturday, October 31 at 7:30 p.m.
Picture this: the full film projected on the big screen while the orchestra plays Danny Elfman’s darkly charming score live. It’s the kind of night where the enchantment of the movie and the brilliance of live music melt together into pure Halloween celebration. Jack Skellington’s world sounds even better with a full symphony behind it.
Best of all, Halloween costumes are encouraged, so dig out your Sally wig or your Oogie Boogie suit and come dressed for the theme. There’s also a costume photo contest: snap a picture during the show, post it on Instagram and tag @housymphony for a chance to win two tickets to a future concert.
Whether you’re a Burton fan, a film-music lover, or just looking for an unforgettable night out with family and friends, this is one of the most joyful ways to spend Halloween in Houston. Grab your tickets and get ready to sing along to “This Is Halloween.”
