Holiday Season at The Henry Ford: Trains, Ornaments and Santa Sightings

December at The Henry Ford is a full-sensory holiday. Inside Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, the season brings a beloved holiday train display, the dazzling Miniature Moments journey through thousands of Hallmark Keepsake ornaments, and multicultural celebrations of light and tradition — displays honoring Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Las Posadas, winter solstice and Christmas.

Santa himself holds court in the museum on select days, near the 1925 Fokker Tri-Motor in Heroes of the Sky, and little ones can join hands-on holiday Tinkering for Tots sessions. Outside, Greenfield Village’s Holiday Nights (separate tickets) extend the magic into the lantern-lit streets.

The Henry Ford is at 20900 Oakwood Boulevard in Dearborn. Holiday programming dates vary by year; check thehenryford.org each November and book early — Santa lines and Holiday Nights both fill fast.
