Get ready for the ride of a lifetime! The Denver Museum of Nature & Science has added a brand-new giant-screen adventure to its Sturm Infinity Theater: Horse Power 3D, an epic and heartwarming journey across the globe celebrating the extraordinary abilities of horses and their inseparable bond with humanity.
The 40-minute film follows Julaa, an inspiring eight-year-old girl, and her Mongolian foal as they train together for the race of a lifetime. From there, the story gallops on: wild mustangs roaming the American West alongside a Native American horse listener in Arizona, the fastest of Arabian stallions, a draft police horse tackling its toughest test in Amsterdam, and the adorable Digby and Hazel — miniature guide horses with big hearts who comfort those in need. It closes with hope for the future as six Przewalski wild horses are released into the big herd after near extinction.
Produced by Plimsoll Productions and EOS Films and distributed by SK Films, Horse Power 3D is the perfect family outing this fall, pairing perfectly with a visit to the Museum’s Wildlife Halls and “Prehistoric Journey.” The film kicked off with a festive “Ponies on the Plaza” premiere night, where families met pony ambassadors and partners like the Temple Grandin Equine Center before the screening. Showtimes run daily in the Sturm Infinity Theater. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for youth, with discounts for members.
