Movie lovers, mark your calendars: Denver is about to light up the silver screen. The 49th Denver Film Festival has unveiled its full lineup — 129 features, documentaries and shorts — for its October 22 to November 1 celebration across the Mile High City.
It’s a star-powered edition. Opening night brings Peter Farrelly’s I Play Rocky to the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, while James Gray’s Paper Tiger closes the festival. Between them: ten days of world premieres, filmmaker conversations, parties and that unmistakable festival buzz that takes over downtown Denver every fall.
Run by the nonprofit Denver Film, the festival has been one of the city’s proudest cultural traditions for nearly half a century — a place where indie discoveries and awards-season heavyweights share the same screens. Whether you’re a die-hard cinephile or just love a great night out, there’s something here for you.
