Perot Museum announces 2027 National Geographic Live speaker series: three explorers, three unforgettable journeys

Explorers from the far corners of the planet are coming to Dallas! The Perot Museum of Nature and Science just announced the 2027 season of its beloved National Geographic Live Speaker Series, bringing three National Geographic Explorers to the stage of The Hoglund Foundation Theater.

The adventure begins February 24, 2027, with photographer Jen Guyton and African Savanna Exposed: a journey into one of the world’s most iconic ecosystems, where misunderstood hyenas, friendly-faced meerkats and a bustling watering hole take the spotlight through stunning photography.

On May 12, 2027, science photojournalist Babak Tafreshi presents Earth After Dark, a breathtaking look at the Milky Way, meteor showers and fireflies, celebrating the simple wonder of looking up at the night sky.

The season wraps up September 29, 2027, with internationally renowned cave photographer Robbie Shone and Adventures in Caving: a rare look inside the world’s deepest, largest and longest cave systems, with never-before-seen visuals from 7,000 feet below ground.

Each 90-minute program starts at 6:30 pm and ends with a moderated Q&A with the explorer. Single tickets are $45 ($39 for members) and full-series passes are $125 ($105 for members). Tickets are on sale for members now and open to the public on October 9, so grab your seats early — these talks sell out fast. Happy City News recommends the full series!
