Franklin Park Conservatory’s “Where Wonder Grows” (September 5–November 22, 2026) is an exhibition designed the way children see gardens — as places where magic and science are the same thing.
The interactive display invites young visitors to explore how plants grow, travel and communicate, with hands-on stations threaded through the Conservatory’s collections: seed stories, root views, pollinator partnerships and the patient drama of things becoming. It’s school-curriculum smart and playground fun at once — the Conservatory’s educators at their most inventive.
Pair it with the Children’s Garden and the Paul Busse Garden Railway for a full day where “don’t touch” rarely applies.
Wonder, it turns out, is a perennial. Columbus grows it beautifully.
