Each June, Columbus throws its biggest art party on the riverfront: the Columbus Arts Festival brings more than 200 jury-selected artists from around the country to the Scioto Mile for three days of art, music, food and hands-on creativity.
Produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council since 1962, the festival lines the downtown bridges and Bicentennial Park with white tents and big crowds — paintings, jewelry, ceramics and sculpture at every price point, four stages of Ohio music, and the beloved Big Local Art Village showcasing Columbus’ own makers.
Admission is free, the skyline is the backdrop, and the art activities keep kids creating all weekend.
Mark June now: it’s the weekend Columbus shows the whole region what it makes.
