Fall Fest Is Back at Lincoln Park Zoo: A Free Family Celebration of Autumn

Autumn in Chicago feels extra special this year, because Fall Fest is back at Lincoln Park Zoo! This beloved free festival turns the zoo into a cozy celebration of the season, with something new and different waiting every weekend from late September through November 1.

Picture this: wandering through gardens bursting with fall colors, picking the perfect pumpkin at the pumpkin patch, and roasting s’mores over a fire pit while sipping hot cider. Professional pumpkin carvers show off their spooky skills, and the little ones can hop on the Giant Fun Slide, the Ferris wheel, the bounce house, or explore the Fall Fun Zone.

When night falls, the thrills continue with Haunted History Tours, plus kid-friendly Halloween fun at Spooky Zoo hosted by the Auxiliary Board. Adults get their own treat too with Zoo Brews: Howls and Growls, a costumed tasting of craft beer and cider.

Best of all, admission to Lincoln Park Zoo is always free, open 365 days a year. Grab the family, head to 2200 North Cannon Drive in Lincoln Park, and make some golden autumn memories.
