Winter evenings near Boston are about to sparkle. ZooLights returns to Stone Zoo in Stoneham from November 20 through January 3, inviting families to step into a sparkling winter wonderland from 4:00 to 9:30 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day).
Visitors stroll along tree-lined paths aglow with thousands of twinkling lights, and this year brings exciting new displays, including a transformed Yukon Creek that dazzles as a candy-themed winter wonderland. While exploring Yukon Creek, families can also marvel at the festive model train set, a favorite stop for young train fans.
Zoo New England keeps the visit flexible: plan-ahead pricing lets guests pick the date and time that fits their schedule and budget, an online-only 4-pack offers a discount for groups entering together, and Massachusetts EBT and WIC cardholders receive discounted ten-dollar admission for up to four tickets. Children under two are free, and last entry is at 8:30 p.m.
Because popular evenings can sell out and gate prices are higher, the zoo recommends buying tickets online in advance. Bundle up, grab some cocoa, and let the animals’ winter home light up the season.
