Houston cyclists of every level are invited to ride for a good cause: Hermann Park Conservancy’s 12th annual Park to Port Bike Ride, presented by Port Houston, rolls out on Saturday, October 24, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.
The 20-mile round-trip ride starts at Hermann Park’s Bayou Parkland and follows the Bayou Greenway trail all the way to Mason Park, near the Port of Houston. Riders can enjoy the turn-around party at the halfway point – and save some energy for the well-deserved post-ride party under the Bill Coats Bridge.
Park to Port is not a race. Whether you are an experienced cyclist or riding just for fun, you can go at your own pace on this scenic city journey, which makes it a wonderful morning plan for families and new riders alike.
Every registration supports Hermann Park Conservancy and its stewardship of one of Houston’s most beloved parks, while promoting the ever-growing Bayou Greenway trail system. There is even a bundle deal: sign up for both Park to Port and Run in the Park and save $10 on registration.
Happy City News Houston will keep sharing the happiest outdoor plans across the city.
