Baltimore’s most fin-tastic Halloween party is for members only — and it is all treats, no tricks. The National Aquarium hosts a special Hallowmarine Member Evening on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m., opening its exhibits after hours for a night of gentle, family-friendly spookiness.
Costumed guests can haunt the Aquarium’s galleries, visit trick-or-treat stations along the way, meet creepy-crawly Animal Encounters up close and follow a spooky Halloween-themed scavenger hunt through the exhibits. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged for everyone, from tiny sharks to junior marine biologists.
The evening is free for Aquarium members, and advance registration is required. Members at the Individual level and above also receive free guest passes for Member Evenings, so friends can join the fun — Family members receive two guest passes for each event, and higher levels receive more.
It is a rare chance to see the Aquarium’s sharks, rays and rainforest residents in evening mode, with the Inner Harbor lights twinkling outside. Members can register through the Aquarium’s official site — and start planning those costumes now.
