The Atlanta Botanical Garden has a delicious reason to keep your Thursday evenings free this October: Fest-of-Ale is back with specialty craft ales, live music, and evening strolls through the Garden’s glowing autumn blooms.
Every Thursday night in October, the Garden opens its gates for a beer fest like no other. Guests can sample a variety of specialty ales from cashless bars, enjoy live performances, and wander the paths as the sun sets over Midtown. The music lineup features Kate Coleman (Oct. 1), Rob Platner (Oct. 8), Scotty Bryan (Oct. 15), and Matt Williams (Oct. 29). On Thursday, Oct. 22, Fest-of-Ale joins forces with the Garden’s famous Great Pumpkin-Carving Festival — a specially ticketed night where carvers compete for the most creative pumpkin amid drinks, seasonal bites, and live entertainment.
One of the evening’s most magical moments: exploring Scarecrows in the Garden by flashlight, with whimsical scarecrows handcrafted by local schools, businesses, and organizations lighting up after dark. Feeling hungry? Longleaf, the Garden’s beautiful restaurant, serves dinner during the event — reservations are recommended.
Fest-of-Ale is free for Garden members, and guest passes are accepted. All bars are card-only. Gather your friends and toast to fall in one of Atlanta’s most beautiful settings.
