Creative Harvest: Free Drop-In Art Making at the Walters on Saturday, November 7

Baltimore gets a deliciously creative start to November at the Walters Art Museum, where Drop-in Art Making: Creative Harvest takes over the Sculpture Court on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free session invites visitors of all ages and abilities to make their own fruit, vegetable or flower, with every individual piece joining a shared, harvest-themed masterpiece — a beautiful bounty of food built by the community, one contribution at a time.

Drop-in Art Making is one of the Walters’ most welcoming traditions: hands-on art inspired by the museum’s collection, open to anyone who walks in. Come with family, bring friends or enjoy a quiet creative break on your own — stay for a little while or settle in for the whole session. No tickets are required, and admission is free.

The activity takes place in the Charles Street Building, Level 2A, Sculpture Court, at 600 N. Charles Street in Mount Vernon. The program is made possible thanks to generous support from BGE and The Walters Women’s Committee Legacy Endowment. Pair your visit with a stroll through the galleries — as Happy City News readers know, the Walters is always free, so a morning of art making can easily become a full day of discovery.
