Last Chance, Chicago Families: Brookfield Zoo’s 35 Life-Size Dinosaurs Roar Through Their Final Weekend

Chicago families, this is the last call to walk with the dinosaurs. Dinos!, the prehistoric adventure that has filled Brookfield Zoo Chicago since May 22, roars through its final weekend and closes on Sunday, October 25 — so today and tomorrow are the last two chances to see it.

The experience spreads 35 life-size dinosaurs throughout the Zoo’s 235 acres in Brookfield, turning a regular family visit into a treasure hunt for prehistoric pals. Kids can walk through a massive rib-cage tunnel, climb on a giant fossil, dig for ancient discoveries and snap epic photos along the way. Best of all, Dinos! is included with regular Zoo admission or membership, at no extra cost.

For an extra thrill, the Ultimate T. Rex virtual reality experience puts visitors in motion chairs for a 360-degree journey with a tyrannosaurus, a triceratops and more. And the Zoo hopes the giants leave a lasting lesson: dinosaurs may be gone forever, but the endangered animals families meet on the same visit — from Amur leopards to African painted dogs — can still be saved, and falling in love with them is where conservation begins.

With more than 3,500 animals from over 500 species also waiting, arrive early, wear comfortable shoes and give the dinosaurs their happy Chicago goodbye this weekend.
