Orlando families can start November with a free day outdoors and a good story. On Monday, November 2, 2026, Harry P. Leu Gardens opens its gates for Free Day & Story Time, a cheerful morning-and-day plan made for the littlest visitors and the grown-ups who love exploring with them.
Admission to the Gardens is free all day, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., as part of the Free Admission Day presented by Orlando Health on the first Monday of each month. It is a lovely chance to stroll the paths, look for blooms and butterflies, and enjoy one of Orlando’s prettiest green spaces without spending a thing.
The heart of the morning is Story Time, offered by the Orange County Library System for families with infants through preschool age. Sessions are short, sweet and tailored by age: Baby Tales for infants up to 18 months runs from 10:00 to 10:15 a.m., Toddler Tales for children 18 months to 2 years old follows from 10:20 to 10:35 a.m., and Preschool Tales for ages 3 to 5 takes place from 10:40 to 11:00 a.m.
Leu Gardens is at 1920 North Forest Avenue in Orlando. Arrive for a story, stay for a garden walk — and mark the first Monday of the month, because this happy tradition comes back again and again.
