Philadelphia gets its most cheerful holiday market back this season. Christmas Village in Philadelphia, the authentic open-air German-style market at LOVE Park and City Hall, returns from November 21 through December 27, 2026, turning Center City into a glowing winter wonderland at 1500 Arch Street.
Admission to the whole event area is free, with food, drinks, shopping and rides pay-as-you-go. Rows of wooden booths from international and local vendors offer handmade holiday gifts, ornaments, jewelry and high-quality arts and crafts, while the air fills with the scent of waffles, gingerbread, bratwurst and warm mulled wine. Thousands of holiday lights complete the picture, modeled on the traditional Christmas markets of Germany.
At the heart of LOVE Park stands the market’s showpiece: the 30-foot Christmas Pyramid, introduced in 2025 and illuminated by 3,000 lights. Inspired by the wooden pyramids of Germany’s Ore Mountains, the rotating tower has quickly become a favorite photo backdrop, with City Hall just steps away.
Families will find plenty to do together, from the historic double-decker carousel and the Ferris Wheel with views over Center City to the Kids Train and holiday pictures with Santa and Phil, the Reindeer’s beloved mascot. The event is dog-friendly across the outdoor area and, for 2026, vendor booths will use counter service to make the experience more accessible for everyone.
The market is open Sunday to Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 9 p.m., with special hours on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Christmas Eve from noon to 5 p.m. It is closed November 23 to 25 and on Christmas Day. SEPTA makes getting there easy, to Suburban Station or 15th Street / City Hall.
