Scarecrows Take Over Leu Gardens for a Whimsical Fall Stroll, October 24 to November 30

Orlando’s beloved Harry P. Leu Gardens is getting a playful autumn makeover. From October 24 through November 30, 2026, the 50-acre botanical oasis near downtown hosts Scarecrows in the Gardens, a brand-new exhibit presented with the Orlando Garden Club, whose members have been helping Leu Gardens bloom for generations.

Along the garden’s winding pathways, visitors will discover scarecrows of every personality — classic farmers, garden guardians and creative characters dressed and posed by Orlando Garden Club volunteers. Each figure is tucked among the camellias, roses and towering oaks, turning a peaceful stroll into a cheerful treasure hunt that is perfect for snapping fall photos with the family.

The timing could not be better. Late October and November bring some of the most comfortable walking weather of the year to Central Florida, and the gardens’ historic Leu House Museum, butterfly garden and tropical stream garden reward anyone who lingers. It is an easy, affordable way to enjoy the season outdoors — no costumes, no crowds, just friendly scarecrows keeping watch over the flowers.

Scarecrows in the Gardens is included with regular daytime garden admission. Harry P. Leu Gardens is located at 1920 North Forest Avenue in Orlando and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Plan your visit at leugardens.org.
