Washington, DC is getting an extra week of holiday cheer this year. The DowntownDC Holiday Market returns for its 22nd season with an extended run from November 13 through December 23, 2026, turning F Street NW between 7th and 9th Streets NW into a festive, open-air winter village in the heart of Penn Quarter, right in front of the National Portrait Gallery and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
The free market will bring together a curated collection of 119 vendors, mixing beloved returning favorites with exciting new makers. Shoppers can browse handcrafted art and home decor, accessories, apparel, beauty products, specialty gifts and one-of-a-kind finds, making it an ideal place to check gifts off the list while supporting local makers and entrepreneurs. Fifteen food and beverage vendors will add seasonal sips, savory bites and sweet festive treats to complete the outing.
The celebration kicks off with a full holiday weekend: the market opens on Friday, November 13, followed by CityCenterDC’s annual tree lighting on Saturday, November 14. Later in the season, the spirit of giving takes center stage at Frosted in Franklin Park on December 5, where a community coat drive will invite visitors to help spread warmth as temperatures drop.
The market is free and open to the public Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. It will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Sponsored by Events DC, it remains one of the capital’s most joyful ways to shop, sip, gather and celebrate together.
