At the foot of the Space Needle, Artists at Play is a playground designed by artists — and it shows: a 30-foot climbing tower, a labyrinth of ropes, musical instruments built into the landscape and swings with room for the whole family.
The playground anchors a Seattle Center day made for kids: ride the Monorail from downtown, splash in the International Fountain on warm days, and catch family performances at Seattle Children’s Theatre and the Seattle Center stages.
Free and open daily, it’s the city’s happiest front yard — where the Space Needle watches over the serious business of play.
