Girls in STEM Blast Off: Astro Adventures Lands at Arizona Science Center on November 14

Phoenix families, get ready to lift off. On Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., Arizona Science Center invites students in grades 4 through 8 to Girls in STEM: Astro Adventures, a full day of imagination, innovation and interstellar discovery at CREATE at Arizona Science Center, in downtown Phoenix.

Girls in STEM is the Science Center’s popular series of programs created to spark interest in science and engineering in a collaborative, encouraging environment. For Astro Adventures, the theme is space itself: participants will explore the universe as they dive into the world of planets, stars and rockets, with hands-on activities designed to make big cosmic questions feel close, fun and doable.

It is a perfect family plan for curious kids who look up at the desert night sky and ask how it all works. Across the day, young explorers will experiment, build, ask questions and discover together, guided by the idea that the mysteries of the cosmos are waiting for the next generation of scientists, engineers and astronauts — and that generation includes Phoenix girls.

Arizona Science Center is at 600 E. Washington Street. Registration is required through the center’s official Girls in STEM page, where families can also find information about scholarship applications. Happy City News recommends registering early, as these full-day STEM Saturdays fill quickly.
