The countdown is on, Orlando! Basketball season is about to take over downtown as the Orlando Magic open their 2026-27 regular season at home on Wednesday, October 21, hosting the Atlanta Hawks at the Kia Center.
The home opener launches an 82-game journey full of promise, and the early home schedule is stacked: after Atlanta, the Magic welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 23 before hitting the road. All season long, some of the league’s biggest names will pass through Central Florida, with home matchups against the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks lighting up the calendar.
There is nothing quite like game night in downtown Orlando. The roar inside the Kia Center, the restaurants and bars buzzing around Church Street before tip-off, families decked out in blue and white — opening night turns the whole district into a celebration.
Whether you are a lifelong fan or bringing the kids to their very first NBA game, October 21 is the perfect excuse to be part of it. Grab your jerseys, arrive early, and let’s make some noise for the Magic!
