This Sunday, the Orlando Museum of Art is opening its doors wider than ever. Creative Connections, a free program for visitors of all ages with developmental and learning disabilities and those on the autism spectrum, returns with warm, welcoming sessions that connect participants with art in a supportive environment.
Three age groups run through the afternoon, each one designed so every visitor can experience the museum at their own pace and in their own way. The program is free; pre-registration is required by calling 407.896.4231 ext. 262 or emailing education@omart.org. It is sponsored by the Joseph G. Markoly Foundation, with support from the Parkinson Association of Central Florida and the Joe & Sarah Galloway Foundation.
Creative Connections is a beautiful example of what a museum can be for a whole community: a place where everyone belongs. Find details at omart.org and spread the word to a family who might love it.
