Free Family Photography Day Comes to the Albin Polasek Museum This November

Grab your cameras and gather the whole family: the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens in Winter Park is hosting a free Family Photography Day on Sunday, November 1, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.!

Inspired by the museum’s America the Beautiful exhibition featuring the legendary landscape photography of Clyde Butcher, this joyful afternoon celebrates both the art of photography and the breathtaking beauty of the American landscape.

Hands-on photography activities welcome visitors of all ages. Kids and grown-ups alike can see one of Butcher’s personal large-format cameras up close, look through the lens, and discover how his iconic black-and-white images came to life. Then strike a pose inspired by the garden sculptures and capture your own creative portrait.

Little ones will love the story time featuring Little Albin’s adventures with photography, and everyone can stroll the museum’s scenic lakeside sculpture gardens to take the perfect family portrait surrounded by art and nature.

Best of all, admission is completely free with registration. Come discover how photography can inspire a deeper appreciation for nature, art, and conservation — and leave with memories (and photos!) that will last long after the afternoon ends.
