Polasek Nights: ‘Into the Wild’ Brings After-Hours Magic to Winter Park on October 20

The Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens in Winter Park is inviting art and nature lovers to experience the museum after hours at Polasek Nights: Into the Wild, a magical evening on October 20 from 6 to 8 PM inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of legendary photographer Clyde Butcher.

Guests will explore America the Beautiful: The Monumental Landscapes of Clyde Butcher — on view at the museum through December 6 — after dark, while an immersive Everglades soundscape transforms the galleries and lakeside gardens into a celebration of Florida’s wild spaces. Wander the exhibitions, grab a drink from the cash bar, and capture the evening with a black-and-white Polaroid inspired by Butcher’s iconic photography.

Butcher, often called the Ansel Adams of the Everglades, has spent decades documenting America’s most treasured landscapes with his large-format camera, from California’s towering redwoods to Florida’s subtropical wetlands. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will support a local wetlands conservation effort, connecting his lifelong mission of preserving wild places with conservation work happening right here in the community.

Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Come for the art, stay for a drink, and leave inspired by the wild places worth protecting!
