New York, get ready for a perfect autumn outing! Pumpkin Point, the beloved annual pumpkin patch and fall festival, returns to historic Nolan Park on Governors Island this Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Trust for Governors Island has announced.
Thousands of pumpkins will fill Nolan Park, turning it into one of New York City’s largest and most unique pumpkin patches. Visitors are invited to wander the patch and pick out their own pumpkin to take home, surrounded by the island’s historic houses and colorful fall foliage, just a short ferry ride from Manhattan and Brooklyn.
The fun goes far beyond the patch. Families can enjoy trick-or-treating, Governors Island Ghost Tours, Fall Foliage Walks and pumpkin painting, settle into a cozy reading nook with Brooklyn Book Bodega, and join hands-on activities from NYC Bird Alliance, Billion Oyster Project and Earth Matter NY ā all free fun for the whole family.
“We invite all New Yorkers to hop on the ferry and enjoy a beautiful autumn weekend in historic Nolan Park,” said Clare Newman, President and CEO of the Trust for Governors Island, noting that visitors can enjoy the crisp fall air just minutes from Manhattan and Brooklyn. Any pumpkins left over after the weekend will be composted on the island by Earth Matter at its Compost Learning Center, which is open to the public on weekends through the fall. Governors Island is open daily year-round, so plan your ferry trip and arrive ready to pick your pumpkin!
