Families Explore the Science of Health at the Science Museum of Minnesota on October 24

How does your body move, heal and stay strong? Minneapolis-area families can find out together at the HealthPartners Science of Health Day at the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The museum, at 120 West Kellogg Blvd., will host a day celebrating the science of health, with interactive, hands-on demonstrations from HealthPartners teams. Families can explore activities from TRIA, TRIA GameFace — HealthPartners’ sports performance brand — Burn and Trauma, and Community Health, trying out the kind of science that helps athletes perform, doctors heal and kids grow up healthy.

The highlight for younger visitors comes from 11 a.m. to noon, when four beloved Minnesota mascots arrive for meet-and-greets: T.C. Bear of the Minnesota Twins, Nordy of the Minnesota Wild, Mudonna of the St. Paul Saints and Chilly of the Minnesota Wind Chill. There will also be giveaways from participating teams throughout the event.

It is a joyful way to turn a Saturday museum trip into a hands-on health lesson — measure, move, ask questions and discover how science keeps Minnesota families active. Plan your visit and get tickets at smm.org.
