Houston’s most glowing family tradition is back. Radiant Nature, presented by H-E-B, returns to Houston Botanic Garden for its fourth season from November 20, 2026, through February 21, 2027, lighting up 53 evenings with all-new displays and interactive surprises along a trail of less than one mile.
The Chinese lantern festival transforms the Garden after dark into a wonderland of larger-than-life nature. Families will wander past giant illuminated poppies, lilies, geraniums and azaleas, while blue morpho butterflies, owls and other glowing wildlife appear along the path. In the interactive zone, kids can soar on the popular moonlight swings, strike a pose at the angel wings photo spot, press into the 3-D pin wall and discover new immersive features created to put a smile on visitors of all ages.
The self-guided trail follows paved and smooth granite paths, so it works beautifully with strollers and wheelchairs. Timed entries begin every 30 minutes from 6 p.m., with last entry at 9 p.m. and closing at 10 p.m. The festival runs primarily Friday through Sunday, plus select Thursdays in December and extra weeknights around Thanksgiving and winter break.
Tickets are $26.50 for adults and $24.50 for children ages 3 to 15, with little ones 2 and under free, and a new late-entry ticket after 8:30 p.m. Every ticket supports the Garden’s mission of discovery, education and plant conservation at 1 Botanic Lane — a happy night out where Houston families can quite literally watch nature shine.
