School is out for Thanksgiving week in Denver, and the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance has a wild plan for young explorers: Fall Safari Camp, two one-day camps on Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24, 2026, created to keep kids curious, active and hands-on with nature.
Each camp day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and welcomes campers currently in kindergarten through 4th grade. Every day brings a different adventure. On November 23, “Find the Feast” asks a delicious question: how do Zoo nutritionists make the holidays special for more than 2,500 animals? Campers will dig into animal diets and discover how tasty treats support top-notch care for the Zoo’s wild family.
On November 24, “Enrichment Escapades” turns campers into animal care experts for a day. Kids will explore how Zoo animals stay active, curious and engaged every day ā and design their own enrichment challenges. Both camps include outdoor exploration, so families should bundle up and get ready for a wild week.
Each one-day camp costs $85 per camper, and scholarships are available through the Zoo’s Access to Awe Scholarship Fund for families who need financial assistance. Registration is open now through the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance ā a happy, hands-on way to spend the Thanksgiving break in Denver.
