Denver Christkindlmarket Brings a German Holiday Village to Tivoli Quad November 20-December 23

Happy City News has a recipe for Mile High holiday cheer: the Denver Christkindlmarket returns November 20 through December 23, 2026, on the Tivoli Quad at Auraria Campus. Billed as the city’s only authentic German holiday market, it fills the quad with lights, food, music and, of course, unique gifts.

Visitors stroll through a European-style village of charming wooden huts, shopping for finely crafted artisan gifts and treats. Fuel the walk with authentic Glühwein, German beers and hot chocolate, and taste Bavarian-style pretzels, fresh smoked salmon, knödel, goulash, Nürnberger sausages, pastries, caramels and European chocolates, all under strings of warm light.

The market keeps friendly hours for every schedule: 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Admission is free, making it an easy outing for families, couples and friends.

It also pairs perfectly with the rest of Mile High Holidays downtown, from the towering Mile High Tree in Civic Center Park to the nightly drone shows overhead. Bundle up, bring a shopping bag and let Denver’s German Christmas village start your season with a smile.
