The holidays are about to get a whole lot more musical in Dallas. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will perform the full original score of Disney’s The Muppet Christmas Carol live on the Meyerson stage while the beloved film plays on the big screen, December 4 through 6, 2026.
Led by conductor Lawrence Loh, the orchestra brings Miles Goodman’s magical score — and Paul Williams’ unforgettable songs, including “Rainbow Connection” — to life in the very same room where Kermit the Frog takes on the role of Bob Cratchit, Miss Piggy charms as Emily, and Gonzo narrates as Charles Dickens himself. And of course, Ebenezer Scrooge’s Christmas Eve journey with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future hits a little harder when every note is played by a world-class orchestra right in front of you.
The weekend offers three performances: Friday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m., and a family-friendly Sunday matinee on December 6 at 2:00 p.m. It’s part of the Harry W. Bass Jr. Foundation Holiday Series — a joyful way to kick off the season with kids, grandparents, or anyone who grew up loving Jim Henson’s creations. Tickets start at $73 and are on sale now.
