Dallas Arboretum: 66 Acres of Blooms by White Rock Lake

Perched on the southeast shore of White Rock Lake, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is one of the prettiest places in all of Texas. Sixty-six acres of themed gardens explode with seasonal color — from spring tulips and cherry blossoms to autumn pumpkins and winter holiday lights.

Wander through the manicured rose gardens, the tranquil Japanese garden, the whimsical Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden, and the cool shaded paths along the lake. Every visit feels different because the landscape changes with the seasons, and the views across White Rock Lake are simply dreamy.

It is perfect for garden lovers, families with kids, photographers, and romantic strolls. The garden charges admission, but it is a nonprofit treasure worth every penny. Tip: visit on a weekday morning to enjoy the flowers with fewer crowds, and don’t miss the Children’s Adventure Garden if you have little ones.
