Dallas families who love airplanes, rockets and hands-on science have a date to circle: Frontiers of Flight Museum, by Dallas Love Field, celebrates Moon Day on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a family festival dedicated to space exploration and the science, technology, engineering and mathematics behind flight, held in collaboration with the National Space Society of North Texas.
Moon Day is designed for curious kids and their grown-ups. Families can meet professionals and volunteers from the world of aviation and aerospace, try interactive activities, catch science presentations and explore the museum’s galleries at a relaxed, kid-friendly pace ā a morning where future pilots, engineers and astronauts can ask real questions and get inspired.
What makes Moon Day special is how close it brings space to home. The Frontiers of Flight Museum tells the story of aviation from its earliest days to the space age, with historic aircraft and spacecraft on display ā the perfect backdrop for a day that connects the Moon landings of the past with the missions of the future.
Younger children have their own home base at the museum: the STEM Discovery Center, an aviation-themed play and learning space for children under 10 with costumes, building activities and a multi-level play structure modeled on a control tower, an aircraft hangar and a cargo plane. It is creative play with a purpose, and an easy win for families making a first museum visit with little ones.
Moon Day runs Saturday, November 14, 2026, 10:00 a.m.ā2:00 p.m. at Frontiers of Flight Museum, 6911 Lemmon Avenue, Dallas, by Love Field. Check the museum’s official website before you go for any schedule updates ā and arrive ready to look up.
