AURORA Biennial Lights Up Dallas November 4-21, 2026

Dallas is getting ready to glow. The seventh AURORA Biennial takes over Dallas and Fort Worth from November 4 to 21, 2026, three weeks of performances, talks and artist-led programs under the theme “States of Becoming,” curated by Julia Kaganskiy and Tairone Bastien.

AURORA is the Dallas-born platform that explores, experiments with and expands the future of art and technology, and its biennial is its biggest stage. The 2026 edition builds toward a joyful finale on November 21, when a free outdoor exhibition spreads across three Dallas sites and turns the city itself into the gallery, with large-scale works of light, video and sound created for the night.

That closing night is the AURORA experience at its best: neighbors and visitors wandering downtown together, discovering projections and interactive pieces in familiar places made suddenly strange and beautiful. Earlier in the biennial, the program layers in performances, lectures and gatherings that connect artists, technologists and curious audiences across the metroplex, alongside AURORA’s year-round favorites like Video Art Night and Art Quest.

Most of the magic is free and outdoors, which makes the biennial one of the easiest cultural plans of the season: pick an evening between November 4 and 21, head for the lights, and let Dallas show you what art and technology can dream up together. Save the date for the November 21 finale.
