Austin nights are about to glow again. Creek Show, Waterloo Greenway’s signature community event, returns from November 13 to 21, 2026, running from 6 to 10 p.m. each night along Waller Creek in downtown Austin.
This year brings a happy first. For the first time, Creek Show moves downstream to The Confluence, the newly opened southern stretch of Waterloo Greenway between 4th Street and Lady Bird Lake. Across nine nights, ten light-based installations created by local artists will transform the downtown landscape into an immersive celebration of creativity, connection and community.
Visitors can stroll the creekside route after dark and discover each glowing work in turn, seeing a familiar stretch of the city in a completely new light. It is an easy, joyful evening out for couples, friends and families, and a wonderful way to experience Austin’s public art outdoors.
Creek Show is a ticketed event in 2026, and proceeds benefit Waterloo Greenway Conservancy and its mission to create and maintain a 35-acre urban park system in partnership with the City of Austin. Happy City News readers can find the full list of participating artists, renderings of this year’s installations and ticket information on the official Waterloo Greenway website.
