Fall Family Fun: Pumpkin Play Days Take Over the Children’s Garden at the Atlanta Botanical Garden

Autumn weekends in Atlanta just got a lot more playful. The Atlanta Botanical Garden is inviting families to Fall Family Fun, a joyful series of weekend mornings in the Lou Glenn Children’s Garden packed with pumpkin-themed activities for kids of all ages.

From October 3 through November 1, every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon, little ones can squish and sculpt pumpkin-scented Play-Doh, knock down pins in a friendly game of pumpkin bowling, and get creative decorating their own pumpkin rocks to take home. It is all included free with garden admission, making it the perfect low-key, high-joy weekend plan for the whole crew.

Fall Family Fun lands right in the middle of the Garden’s most festive season, sharing the calendar with the beloved Scarecrows in the Garden display, the evening Fest-of-Ale tasting series, and the upcoming Great Pumpkin-Carving Festival on October 22. Families can pair a morning of playful activities with a stroll through thirty acres of gardens glowing in fall color.

Mark the calendar: Saturdays and Sundays, October 3 through November 1, 10 a.m. to noon at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, 1345 Piedmont Avenue NE. Grab the kids, bring your best pumpkin-bowling arm, and let the autumn fun begin.
