Philadelphia families can get inside their own heads – in the best way – on Saturday, November 14, 2026, when The Franklin Institute hosts Mind Your Body Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The family-friendly science event explores how the brain and body work together. Visitors can build brain models and DNA structures, test memory and motor skills, explore sensory illusions, experiment with brain-wave technology, and learn how the immune system fights disease. Activities along the way include trying a robotic claw and mirror tracing, experimenting with tuning forks and musical beats, and discovering how stethoscopes and reflexes reveal what the body is doing.
The day also features the Inside U live science show in the PECO Demonstration Theater, bringing the museum’s signature live experiments to the story of the human body.
Mind Your Body Day activities are included with general museum admission, and Franklin Institute members receive free admission. It is a smart, playful November stop for curious kids and adults alike at one of Philadelphia’s most beloved museums, at 222 North 20th Street.
